URBN Summer Internship: Week Five

So, uhm… I’m halfway done?

It just blows my mind how fast this is all going. While I feel like I just moved to Philly yesterday, I also feel like I’ve known the people here for years. Every day I feel luckier and luckier to have the job, the friends and the life I do. I am truly a lucky gal.

Enough sappy stuff – for now at least.

We finally got out of Philly and got some sun! We took a day trip to Ocean City, NJ last Saturday where all we did was lay on the sand and jump some waves. It was awesome. I even stepped up my blog game a little bit and made a video, check it out!

This work week was very lax because of the fourth, but that gave me a lot of time to get ahead and also work on my intern project! The deadline for it is fast approaching but I am so excited to see it all come together.

Rachel and I were featured on the URBN Internships Instagram on Tuesday! We got to do a takeover where we showed people what we do all day. We got some cute photos out of it so I’ll put those below.

Wednesday my Gigi and Pop came! I got to show them around campus, eat lunch with them and even go to dinner in Fishtown. We went to a cute place called Heritage in Northern Liberties where we had some great burgers and salads. It was so nice to see them, I missed them so much!

That night Nam, Natalie, Emma and I went to Morgan’s Pier (we don’t venture to new places much, do we?) where we danced and had some great drinks! It was a long night but a fun one. We probably had a little too much fun for having plans all day long the following day, but somehow we made it through.

On the Fourth of July we had a few work friends over in the afternoon before we headed into the City to see the parade. Unfortunately, it was starting to rain so everything ended early. We got dinner with everyone and even Emma and Drew’s boyfriends who were in town then headed back to Morgan’s Pier (what? it’s our fav!) to watch the fireworks over the bridge. So pretty!

I decided to go into the office on Friday to get prepared for a big meeting on Monday and to try to get caught up on a few things. But with it being a holiday the day before, I’m pretty sure I was the only one in my building – LOL! That’s okay though, I blasted some music and got prepped for my presentation!

I’m planning on this weekend being calm because Eric comes next week! I’m so excited to see him – it’s been too long!

Cheers to the halfway mark.
